One Year of Stay Sásta

Image
Hellooo and welcome back to Stay Sásta. I can't believe I'm already writing this blogpost but yesterday was Stay Sásta's first birthday!! One year ago today I pressed the publish button for the first time after talking myself in and out of it so so many times. I can honestly say nothing has ever made me prouder than this blog and my Instagram this past year. Today I'm going to share some of my biggest milestones and the moments that stood out to me. Grab a coffee and lets take a trip down memory lane :)  My first blogpost🥰 I remember this day so well and seeing people share this post on Instagram. I was sooo shocked at the response!! The Donegal Bucketlist💚💛 This was my favourite Blogpost for sure. I had so much fun ticking places off during the summer and making vlogs on Insta of my adventures.  Winning Shauna Doyle’s content challenge 🥺📸 This photo challenge  gave me the best opportunity to start getting more creative on my Instagram and I got to find so many...

My Skincare Favs & Updated Skincare Routine 2021

Image
Hello lovelies and welcome back to Stay Sásta. I have been so quiet on here recently because things have been so busy and I had little to no motivation to write but we are back :) In today's blogpost I am going to be chatting all things skincare. Last year I posted my favourite beauty bits which included some of my skincare favs. This year I've been really focusing on setting a solid skincare routine for morning and night and sticking to it! I've been using most of these products for a few months now and I've been changing and adding certain things but I've finally got it down to a T! (Get it? T-Zone? A lil skincare pun to start us off hehe) First skincare essential I want to chat about is double cleansing. This has been a game changer for me. I started double cleansing in December and I haven't looked back. Double cleansing is so important to really get the value out of your cleansers. In the morning the first cleanser I use is the La Roche Posay Toleraine cle...

Our favourite pick me ups🤍

Image
Hellooo & welcome back to Stay Sásta. Recently on my Instagram I asked you all what were your favourite quotes/ what was the best advice you’ve received. I’ve compiled them all here in this blogpost so if you ever need a pick me up there will always be something for you here. A big thank you to everyone who sent anything in, I was blown away with the response. I will keep adding to this so if you would like any more added leave it in the comments or message me. Enjoy xx “What’s for you won’t pass you by” “Instead of looking into the future, focus on what can make you happy right now” “Don’t stress the could haves, if it should have, it would have” “Worrying is like a rocking chair - you go back and forth but it gets you nowhere” “Do more of what makes you happy” “You can’t please everyone” “You only have one life, it’s your duty to live it as fully as possible” “What’s seldom is wonderful” “Treat every day as your last” “To the world you’re just one person but to one person yo...

Realistic Resolutions

Image
Happy New Year!! I hope you are all keeping well and feeling ready to take on another lockdown &  New Year. If not, don’t worry, I’ve put together a little list of resolutions that will help you get motivated without draining yourself. This can be a hard time of year for a lot of people but the most important thing to setting goals and getting back into routine is to not put pressure on yourself. These resolutions don’t need to be done in one day, you can start small an build yourself up week by week. I hope these ideas help you to get motivated and feel refreshed. 1. Go for a walk & listen to a podcast; This is my main resolution for 2021! I love clearing my head by going for a walk but I’ve recently struggled with the motivation to get up and go, sooo to motivate myself I pick a podcast for every day (Also posting these on my Instagram stories to hold myself accountable). It is so important to get fresh air these days. 2. Start Journaling; Something I can’t wait ...

10 Lockdown Self Care Ideas

Image
I don't know about you but I am definitely finding this lockdown way harder than the first. I'm not sure if it's the dark evenings, bad weather or heavy coursework but it feels very different to last time. I found myself stuck in a rut there for a wee while and I decided to spend more time doing nice things for myself. I thought I'd make a list of my favourite things to do when I'm not feeling so good. These are small things that will lift your mood and help you to focus on the positives during this tough time :) 1. Netflix-  The best way to switch off is to switch on something cringey, funny and feel good!! My favs at the minute are; Holidate, Schitts Creek, Game Night and of course the classic Gossip Girl. 2.Zoom (But with friends and not lecturers)-   Sometimes the last thing you'll want to do when you're struggling with college online is go back on Zoom voluntarily but it's still important to connect with friends. Do a facetime call with your friend...

Autumn Essentials

Image
It is finally THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR!! My all time favourite season is here at last. I know this time of year isn't for everyone but in this post I'll be sharing some of my favourite things about Autumn and how to get into the spirit.  1. Candles: Autumn candles are the best smelling candles ever!! Bath And Bodyworks will forever have my heart. I'm so lucky that my cousin sent us over a few this year (Hi Tara), so that should keep me going for a little while. TK Maxx also have a great selection of candles for this time of year too, the 3 wick ones are my fav and last so long. 2. Cosy Jammies: Is there anything better than new fluffy jammies from Pennys? You can never have enough pairs and now with college online more of an excuse to invest in a few.. 3. Knitwear: Anyone else after swapping their summer wardrobe for their Autumn wardrobe? There is no better feeling. I love chunky knits and cosy jumpers so I am more than excited to get wearing them all again. It's my ...
