Autumn Essentials

Image
It is finally THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR!! My all time favourite season is here at last. I know this time of year isn't for everyone but in this post I'll be sharing some of my favourite things about Autumn and how to get into the spirit.  1. Candles: Autumn candles are the best smelling candles ever!! Bath And Bodyworks will forever have my heart. I'm so lucky that my cousin sent us over a few this year (Hi Tara), so that should keep me going for a little while. TK Maxx also have a great selection of candles for this time of year too, the 3 wick ones are my fav and last so long. 2. Cosy Jammies: Is there anything better than new fluffy jammies from Pennys? You can never have enough pairs and now with college online more of an excuse to invest in a few.. 3. Knitwear: Anyone else after swapping their summer wardrobe for their Autumn wardrobe? There is no better feeling. I love chunky knits and cosy jumpers so I am more than excited to get wearing them all again. It's my ...

My Tips For College Online

Image
Hellooo from BÁC. As you all have seen from my Instagram I've moved back to Dublin. Even though everything has been moved online for college I've decided to stay here for the time being. I've done one lockdown in Donegal so I don't know how I feel about another. Anyways, I hope you are all surviving theses crazy times and making the most of it. All colleges are online now for 2 weeks and most of us will have modules online for this whole semester. This means a lot of screen time so it's important to have a solid routine so that you don't burn yourself out. Here are a few of my tips for surviving college online; 1. Have your designated work space: Even if it's just your kitchen table it's important to have an area that you use every day for work. I sit at the kitchen table with my roommates for our lectures every day. We make a point of tidying away all our college work once we're finished so that the kitchen/ sitting room is back to a chill out zone...

A Day Of Adventuring In The Sunny South-East.

After a crazy month I am finally back writing here. Between work and getting ready to move back to Dublin I didn't get a chance to open my laptop. But I thought this is the best time to get back into it. Now that I'm back in Dublin I should have more exciting content to share with you all (hopefully). If yesterday is anything to go by anything can happen in a day here. We woke up to another scorcher of a day. After checking the weather app we decided it was a day to be spent on a beach or somewhere to enjoy the heat, staying in the apartment just wasn't an option. One very convincing phone call from Ciara Murray later and we decided we would do the Greystones to Bray Cliff Walk. We got the Dart from Clontarf to Bray.  The views the whole way were unbelievable. Once we got to Bray we had some snacks and sat on the beach until the rest of the group arrived. When the rest arrived we headed off on the walk. I know most people start in Greystones but we decided to start in Bray a...

Beauty Bits I Have Been Loving

Image
Hey guys and welcome back to Stay Sásta. Today I'm going to share with you all my beauty favs at the minute. Majority of the beauty products are such good quality but not too expensive! I'll run through each category and let you know what I think of the products. Skincare: First up is skincare. Recently I have been loving Aveeno products. They are so natural and gentle on sensitive skin which I love. I have really dry skin on my arms and always end up with those little annoying bumps. I started using Epaderm cream as well and between that and the Aveeno products my skin isn't dry at all and is so soft.  Once Penny's opened up again I bought their "Balm to Oil" cleanser and I have been obsessed. It takes your makeup off so effortlessly but you'll feel so fresh after it. It's from their naturals collection so it isn't harsh on your skin at all. I've also got back into using the Soap and Glory Vitamin C facial wash too. It's the nicest face wa...

Tory Island Co.Donegal, Staycation 2020

Image
Welcome back to Stay Sásta. I hope you are all doing great and enjoying some more normality. Recently I visited Tory Island for a few days on a staycation and I had the best time. It was like I was abroad on holiday. If you watched my IGTV that I posted during the week then you would have seen plenty of what we got up to and saw, but I decided to write this blogpost with more info and ideas of places to see. I'll go through what we did each day and add a few snaps. Hope you enjoy and maybe find this helpful! Day 1: We travelled to Tory on Friday afternoon. As I live near the pier we didn't have far to go to get the boat. We had an amazing sailing with plenty of blue skies. It was a little bit choppy but I'm lucky as I never get sea sick, my family on the other hand weren't so lucky. Once we landed we headed up to the hotel for lunch and a drink to settle the stomachs! We cycled to where we were staying and unpacked for our lil holiday. I spent the evening cycling about ...

Redecorating my room || On a budget & in Quarantine

Image
Hey everyone and welcome back! I hope you guys are keeping well and looking forward to a whole new month ahead. Today I'm going to be chatting about how I redecorated my room on a budget and during quarantine. A lot of what I did is DIY and will show you how you can totally transform a room without spending too much. I decided to redecorate for my birthday back in March. I had just moved home and it was that point of quarantine (before my baking phase) that I was so bored and had nothing to do. As you can see from my before snaps my room was very dull and cluttered looking all the time. The first thing I did was paint my furniture to freshen them up a bit, I took the before pics after this as you can see. At this point I had no idea what kind of colour scheme I was going to go for but I loved the blue/turquoise Frenchic paint I found in Harbour Road.  The second thing I did was cleared out my room and started painting. I had a little baby pink frame that I loved the colour of and I...

My Goals For The Next 6 Months

Image
Hey everyone and welcome back to Stay Sásta. How is it July already?! Today's blogpost is all about setting goals and manifesting them. I always set myself goals and I feel it really helps me stay focused. You can accomplish so much if you set your mind to it.  Here are a few from the list of goals I set for myself back in January: -Save money; I think Quarantine helped with that one! -Cut down on sugar in coffee; I used to take sooo much sugar in my coffee but I started drinking iced coffee's all the time and I don't put sugar in them so mission accomplished. -Adventure more; If I had known back in January I'd be at home for 3 months this goal probably wouldn't of made the list but now its made me so motivated to make up for lost time and adventure all summer. -Read a book a month; This might be something small for people but finishing a book within a month is such an accomplishment for me lol. I have a list and I had in every month what book I'm going to read....
